Rats in Python with pygame - updated

This is a preview of my version of the game of Rats that originally ran on the Convergent Technologies workstations. This version is written completely from scratch in Python using the pygame extension. There is still lots of work to do on it, but it's coming along nicely.

So beautiful to see you achieved this! Aged 13 in 1981/82 I discovered this game on the B22 my parents owned and completely fell for it, played so many nights. I even bought a B21 decades later just to try to get this to run again. So it would be wonderful if you released this once it's done!

Wow that takes me back. Used to play on boring banking project in the late 1980’s “. We had NCR WorkSavers (NGEN) CTOS & CTOS VM. I seem to remember that the game could last quite a while

Irv, Amazing Work here...so impressive!!!! In your recent Unisys Google Group message, you say "...I have forgotten many of the details of the original, so I have implemented a number of things to the best of my knowledge."

Now that we have several real original versions of Rats running on real Convergent Technologies hardware, I'd be happy to record more videos showing you the details that you believe you have forgotten. I'll ask for your direction on this, and see if I can explore those "forgotten areas" of the game under your direction.

I have linked both this and your other YouTube videos showing your re-creation of this game in my YouTube videos demonstrating (and discussing) the real Rats on CT hardware, in both pinned comments and description.
