Why don’t you guys have a drainage system installed? It just seems like this happens more than it should had the area been installed properly in the first place. I feel so bad for you guys!

This reminds me of July 2015 when a huge major storm hit Quincy, IL causing the power to be out for like 20 hours. Dad, Jason and I went up and down the basement stairs scooping water out of our sump pump

today (8/9/2022), Lubbock, Texas flooded too. it was higher then the sidewalk and some tires (of cars) were stuck. i thought we would get in a car accident but luckily we didn't, as im typing this there are sirens im hearing that are scaring me because of the flood, we've been seeing cops outside making sure everybody is safe. we are so lucky to have cops helping. i am so sorry this happened to you also

Ugh I'm so sorry. This reminds me of our last house, the first month we moved in water filled our window well and flooded our semifinished basement. Down side I was newly pregnant with our 2nd (no one else knew yet) and Mark was at work. The worst was 5 years later we thought we fixed it and hadn't had issues so we finished that part into our dream play/classroom and the night we finished around 10pm it was all hands on deck to try to save everything we had just moved in. Total bummer because the flooring was absolutely ruined but we decided to spend a little more and go with something just incase it was to happen again. So far the last 8 years there have been no issues and we are still friends with the current owners 😜

This does remind me that after every project we have something pretty big happen to cause further work...this worries me since we just finished replacing the stone on the front of our house 😳😳
