I was afraid of spiders for a long time. Until, while I was living with my mom, my brother had a pet tarantula. I went to his room one day and found out he was neglecting it and the poor thing was starving to death. He gave it to me, and I started to feed it, and it began to learn the vibrations I made when walking by, so he'd come out to the front of the tank to greet me. I loved that little guy. Never once tried to bite me, but he sure as heck didn't like anyone else lol.... Will I have another pet spider? Absolutely not, but I'm content knowing I saved that one's life.

I think that hexagonal tessellation puzzle was definitely my favourite! But mostly on account of the fact that I love puzzles in general and usually the more pieces it has, the more excited I get!

I bought a 3D printed slug (much smaller) from an Etsy seller and absolutely love him. My fingertips actually felt slightly numb from fidgeting with him for so long lol. Added bonus, he grossed out my coworkers.

Do you keep all these fidget toys in a special room where you can just hide away on stressful days and just fidget with EVERYTHING?! Like an epic sensory room to escape the world. I want one!

I think the rainbow rotating puzzle would be my favorite. As long as they move easily and don’t jam… not mindless, you’re right. But I love the colors and I love puzzles.

For the rotating puzzle, there are other brand ones that rotate MUCH smoother. And it makes a massive difference. I’ve got one that can easily be rotated without looking at it so does work for mindless fidgeting.

I LOVE puzzles. I collect little hand puzzles like these. I literally have an entire basket full on my shelf. I used to do them while taking calls in a call center. So fun!

Jackieee noooo, don't bash the 3d printer. These snails can be just as smooth with the printer. And there are even cooler ones out there! They are called articulated 3d prints/toys. You should see the dragon that has been trending lately, for video check out uncle jessy, he has done the snail and massive dragons!

I have a small travel version of the puzzle - I used to use it with kids to discuss stress management when they got frustrated if they couldn't solve it.
I really thought the mind chess was going to be on the top of the list. 🤓

To help get over your fear of spiders, I suggest one of two things... or both, but I like spiders, so we'll start you out slow lol.

First, look up jumping spider videos. They're freaking ADORABLE!

Next, if you're ok with the jumping spiders, I suggest the youtube channel Dave's little beasties. He's calm and gentle. He has a way with the spiders that kind of makes you respect and appreciate them. I personally love the videos with the Brazillian Jewel spiders. They're absolutely beautiful. And they have these cute little fluffly feetsies!

I'm the literal opposite with puzzles. I LOVE them. I have spent entire days just playing sudoku. I don't have the room to build jigsaw puzzles so I have a jigsaw puzzle game, and I can't start a new puzzle too late at night or I won't sleep. Whenever someone has a knot in anything, they come to me. I have not met a tangle I cannot un. I love word puzzles, brain teasers, logic puzzles, building toys, you name it.
