Ok. Just for clarity, to everyone being weird. You dont drink it with the mother (the gross looking culture) in it. Like literally every fermented drink, you separate the liquid from the fungi. That image of the jar with all the gross shit in it isnt how its served. Thats the fermentation vessel.

I just started drinking it last week. I was intimidated at first, with people talking about mold and fermentation. But it's basically like sweet vinegar with some bubbles. I tried it twice and now I'm hooked. The sour flavor is refreshing for the same reason lemonade is.
