James O'Brien vs Brexiters demanding we stop talking the country down

James O'Brien 5 September 2017

IMPORTANT NOTICE: UPDATE - I just received a second copyright strike from BBC Global for the video about the Norway-Sweden border, so I may need to rotate to "Still Incorrigible" or "Incorrigible Forever" to preserve this channel.

My other YouTube channels search for: "Still Incorrigible" & "Incorrigible Forever"

Original notice: As a result of receiving a "copyright strike" this channel will be going on hiatus shortly. If a channel receives three such strikes it is automatically deleted by YouTube. The primary purpose of my YouTube channels is the preservation of a record of historical events as reported at the time and the receipt of a copyright strike imperils that goal.

As a result, in the coming weeks, new uploads will cease on this channel and resume on "Still Incorrigible". Future videos will contain more info as it becomes available.

The one thing that has happened to me that sticks out most, was the day after the brexit vote, my wife and I were in a pub having lunch and a table of people were having a celebration... a brexit celebration where the phrase "get them out", and "send them back" we're literly being cheered. I have never been so ashamed.

Thank you Incorrigible FCA, for your dedication to recording, with unbelievable accuracy, the debacle that has been 16-17. You have single handedly allowed me, and probably many others, to watch in abject horror our very own Orwellian state of affairs.

What they are saying is essentially we're not allowed to scrutinise or hold them to account any more. So basically, fascism.

I can't believe the second caller is for real. "Don't go abroad. Wash your clothes by hand." Is he for real. This guy is like someone out of 1984.

Brexiteers can't get to grips with the idea that parliamentary democracy is not the same as direct democracy via referendum and that a "mob" who have a stupid idea shouldn't always be listened to even if there are more of them. England is the home of parliamentary democracy, not referenda based governance. There's a reason for parliaments...to avoid messes like Brexit.

"Wash your clothes by hand, and buckle down." 😄😄

The irony when Brexiteers claim Brexit is a victory for democracy yet the Tories are trying to destroy parliamentary democracy, starting with the repeal bill

My father said "it will either get better, or get worse" just before he died, which sums up very eloquently where we are with Brexit.

The assumption that there are as many positives as negatives is just nauseating. Where are they all?! Where are all these positives?

We talk it down because this is a financial and economic mess.

"There were lies on both sides. I didn't believe any of them. But I still voted for something I believe is gonna turn out... well... hopefully at least 'okay' in some years time."
The fuck are brexiteers on?!?

Also: The analogy in the end is brilliant and spot on :)

Why do a lot of the 'Leavers' who ring in sound exactly like 'The Self Righteous Brothers' from The Harry Enfield Show???!!!

A referendum for the death penalty would likely be a similar example of democracy.

Only a severe period of financial pain would give slight hope that when we have another EU vote they might vote IN next time as opposed to OUT

I was in the church choir and corpsing was a continual possibility during services especially when some choir members would pass around little cartoons of the vicar. I watched as one poor lad actually pissed himself during a prayer
