I use to have this same car but it was a 2008 with the 4 speed. I don’t remember it being this slow. I think the 09 and up models of this generation had the 6 speed which should’ve made it quicker. But honestly this was the worst car I ever owned in my life. Babied this car like I do all my cars and the engine went at 133, 000 miles 🤦🏽‍♂️😡. The ride quality was better in the Malibu than the 2007 Accord I had after replacing this Malibu.

Yeah, my brother had one of these, in high school, when he graduated, in 2012.. sad thing is the engine was a great engine. They just never geared it correctly.

I got a flashed ecm with advanced timing on shifts and some fuel and air stuff and it made a HUGE DIFFERENCE but still slow😭

Eleven seconds on a car like this in 1991 was good enough. In 2001, it'd have been acceptable. In 2011, this was pretty bad but eleven years on from that it's unthinkable to consider even a Corolla being this absurdly slow.
