Awesome review. Just got my zsx's in the mail the other day and they're my first audiophile iems. I've been using the stock earbuds that came with my phone and they were surprisingly good but now that I'm using the zsx's I feel like there's a whole other level of listening that's been introduced. The first song I listened to had such a clear and clean separation between instruments that it almost sounded unatural. Also it's hard to describe but songs almost soumd smoother in a way and they make songs so much easier to listen to. Also I'm a bit of a basshead myself and I was skeptical at first as to whether they'd be able to have a punchy enough bass but I was pleasantly surprised. They have the perfect amount of bass and I can always adjust the EQ to get more also. Absolutely love them

Nice review. Pretty detailed and realistic. Please continue to use music that you're familiar with. That makes your review more accurate because you can pick apart what everything sounds like at specific parts of some songs, like you did here. Subscribed. :)

Just caught up with the rest of your videos after watching the R5 unboxing and I gotta say I love your style. If you keep at it you'll definitely start gaining an audience. Biggest piece of advice is to be a little mindful of your "uhs" and "uhms." That's really the only weak point currently. The level of detail you go into regarding compositional elements is something that should be commended, and regarding this set in particular, I'm glad you can recognize these could be appealing to some people even if they may not have "audiophile tuning." I think some people have the notion that just because something doesn't have one specific tuning, it's automatically garbage. Different people require different things as not every listener is going to care as much about detail, which means they should be serviced as much as the OCD folks.

Edit: As for the T2, I'd highly recommend you get a pair (I'm watching this with them in my ears, actually). While you may not necessarily be adding anything to the discussion as they've been talked about to death, they're still a great set to experience. I avoided the Pro model though because people weren't crazy about the treble boost those received.

attention you have to burn in these headphones! ideally with the 1more assistant app from shen zhen acoustic. i used the headphones without burn in, i had severe ear pain. i believe that there were nano aluminum metal and plastic remains, which the bass then pushed into the ear. now after 4 hours burn in, the dd bass driver works properly and it does not hurt anymore

I am a total newbie to Daps and earphones. But I want to thank you for going into detail so that I can get a handle on it. I bought this earphones before I had seen this review and I agree. Some types of music especial dance or maybe more electronic types of music sound great. But when I listen to Jazz I kind of wonder what happened. On a positive note these are the first earphones that I have that fits in ears.

I LOVED the sound from these BUT with my ears they were quite uncomfortable so I had to return them and settle for the ZS10 pro

I had the Tin T2, the KS10 pro and went with the ZSX instead..
T2 are too smooth sounding for my liking while the KS10 pro were not comfy for my ears. The T2 did not sealed well enough either and were more power hungry than ZSX/KS10.

I don't understand why did you even use a portable amp to already very sensitive KZ ZSX, that's over kill.

Do you think it's necessary to change the cable? I've seen people recommend some C16 copper or copper+silver cable for like over $30, but that's like a bulk of the price of the whole IEMs. I don't really have issues with bass or mids or anything from testing songs people you mentioned and some others I've seen in videos. The only song that sounded off was that Riot Jazz Band song but that song sounds grating on my V-modas as well, so I'm not sure what to make of that. I use Spinfit tips if that's relevant at all. Kanye songs sound good. I sound up jamming out to To The Wire after you mentioned Kanye haha

Anyone knows if the cable with microphone makes the earphone sound worse? Saw a review telling this but I'm not sure if I really believe, as the mic is just an extra wire attached inside the cable and doesn't interact with the earphones (I think)
