How to change an Avocet ABS Key Fob

Got my fob today from you guys, key was glued so had to destroy the old fob to get the key out, new fob was perfect 👍

Thankyou for the guidance, it only took me 5 mins to change the fob from orange to blue.

Carried out this today. Found that the old fob had been secured with glue and the key was slipping in the vice because the key was being held on the thin edges. Twisted the key through 90 degrees and re-tightened the jaws of the vice so now the key was being held really firmly. Applied a bit of pressure to the fob and the metal part of the key just snapped in half! I was really surprised how flimsy the metal was. I then used a hacksaw on the plastic fob; the saw went-off course and cut through the metal and I was really surprised just how easily the metal was cut. Must be really soft metal so be careful if your going to attempt to change the fob colour....You have been warned!

Hello UPVC S4R. I would like to ask whether a) your instructions to replace the key cap and whether b) the exhibited plastic key cap, can actually well fit a mottura c28plus key. Thank you.

I recently bought a car, and found one of these keys in one of the seat pockets. Does it have anything to do with the car? should I keep it or throw it away?

There should be some easy way to get this done. I tried putting a different colour to the keys but inspite of removing the locking plates, the keys won't come out, despite hard pulling. Looks like they were glued. I then just replaced the new plates leaving the original colour on the top end of the key. Bad designing.

The locks are great, but the Key design and fob is a joke. I have broken 4 of these fobs so far where they have split rendering them useless. Replacement fobs are £3.00 each. "Robbery". How about designing a fob that doesn't break.
