The way he said 'Get ready... for docking' at 4:25 makes me laugh every time I hear it XD

Liking the smooth jazz in the background :)

make a space station using the asteroid as your base and just attach things on to it and you could make a cool base

I did exactly what you said and it worked first time, I captured my first asteroid, a class D. Cheers dude!

At 5:40 you say "burn tangentially". I'm fairly sure the tangent of a curve lies along your current direction ie prograde/retrograde. This is really inefficient for diverting the asteroid. You should burn perpendicular to the tangent as just a small nudge will divert a lot. In KSP terms you should burn at the 'Radial' marker

Thank you and have an amazing year everyone! btw at 5:40 its more efficient to burn at the radial market then at the horizon line thing!

This helped a lot. Don't forget to put lots of engines on the asteroid too.

You know, this will actually come in useful for me as I am struggling to capture one. >__<

Very minor point: If you're using 0.23.5.x rather than the preview build, the game will have defaulted to Kerbal days/years, so there may not be such a thing as "12 days, 8 hours" any more (Kerbal days are 6 hours long).

I belive I will try to land it on kerbin. Just to have some deco on the launch pad.

Send a ship full of surface dockers that have their own RCS and a docking port on the back. This ship could go to the orbiting asteroid and you could add a dozen docking sites to the asteroid. You could then connect a huge fuel reserve to it and use it as a rendezvous for ships.

I landed my first asteroid (class a) with parachutes at KSC.

Figure out a way to soft land the Jazztroid at the space center.  Love to see that adventure.

Wow, you probably could have captured that in orbit around the Mun!

THANK YOU! this is a lot easier than doing an interplanetary Rendezvous. xD

You should make a space plane series or tutorial.
