I visited Megiddo a few years ago, it's one of the most incredible ancient sites I've ever had the privilige of seeing, the stratigraphy is so clear and every part of the mound tells untold myriad stories. One of the sites that really solidified my choice to study archaeology.

I'm so glad that there's another video with serious historical information on this site and not another conspiracy laden one. Thanks! Also, who else feels lucky that we get a Cy video and a World of Antiquity livestream on the same day? Love it!

The first battle of Megiddo, in which Thutmose III defeated the rebellious Canaanite rulers in 1457 BC, is considered by most scholars as the first reliably documented battle in world history. We have multiple Egyptian texts explaining various details of the battle including army sizes, formations, movements, body counts, etc. All sources relate back to one man, the Egyptian military scribe Tjaneni, who accompanied Thutmose's army on the campaign, and who wrote a daily journal of the events.

I know this outside of your area of focus but would you ever consider doing videos on Gurung Padang complex in Indonesia or the Sigiriya fortress in Sri Lanka? They are fascinating ancient sites
