Imo there are 2 types of grails. Personal grails and cultural grails. A personal grail is an item that you’ve been hunting for the majority of your collecting tenure, but often alludes you due to price or scarcity.

A cultural grail is something that is like a unicorn or impacted a lot within that niche. Extremely rare to come across, usually they are monetarily expensive but not always.

In that instance there can be grails that people unanimously agree on. Like an Amazing Fantasy 15 for example. Or a Black Lotus card for MTG. etc.

My mom owns a Firefly(T.V show) Pop she got at a Con.
Idk how much those go for but its probably the most expensive Pop we own.
