I am not trying to scare you but listen to my story. I bought a used 2014 Tuano with 6, 215 miles on it. It just had a valve service done and it should have been a red flag. The valve adjustment intervals should be 12, 000 miles. It ran great for about 1, 000 mile and then it happened. It started stalling and power was down in 5th and 6th gear. Turns out the valve guides were shot. I found an independent Aprilia mechanic to check it out. He sent me a video of him moving the valves around in the head .15-.20 off center line. Apparently a common problem in 2012-2015 V4 models. He said he has seen many of these engines having this problem. Aprilia knew about it and would not cover it under warranty. $3, 500.00 later I had remanufactured head with custom made hardened valve guides installed. A little nose when cold is not an issue. But if you start having stalling issues when you pull in the clutch or if you start losing power in the higher gear. Stop riding it! I met one rider who had this issue and it sucked a valve and destroyed the engine (very dangerous). Also if you are in a country that uses ethanol add a lubricant to your gasoline such as Marvels Mystery Oil.

absolutly normal. my rsv4`s `10, `15 and `18 had it all.

they tap like that. this issue with valves is rare. if you change your exhaust, you MUST change or map your eco accordingly otherwise the engine will run very lean which will damage it

Perfectly normal thats a v4 symphony just like the ducati dry clutch rattle nothing to worry about here id be more concered if there wasnt any noise as id suspect it was knackered

My 13 Tuono has the rattling sound too, I found following comment: The cam chain tensioner is hydraulic and takes a moment for the oil pressure to regain to push the tensioner out again.

Nothing to worry about, Just a little irritating.
