Would I Buy Another APRILIA RSV4?

After just over 2 years of ownership, the RSV4 is a love/hate relationship. The bike is a rush to ride but all that power and exoticness comes with a price.

I have owned almost every brand of motorcycle and I have to be honest, I have never had a problem beside factory recalls. Every brand has their problems including Japanese motorcycles, once you get one with problems then you will hate that brand. Don’t ever let someone’s opinion change your decision on buying the brand you like. Experience for yourself

I have a 17 tuono v4(first street bike too) and I use it for commuting, canyons, and as of recently the track and it is a dream for all those. Oil every 3k valve adjustment every 12, 000 never had a problem. I do all the service myself and I learned on this bike. AF1 raceing is the reason owning an aprilia does not have to Be difficult. They gave me a copy of the service manual for valve adjustment when I bought the parts. Absolute blessing for those bike owners who prefer to do their own service.

It's not about the miles bro....its about the fact that you can swing a leg over it any time you want. Braaaap!

Hey man, thanks so much for the honest insight. People forget (like me) when shopping for bikes how much of a pain owning an exotic can be. Your perspective really helps keep that in check. Great vid!

I fell in love for V4 muscle a couple years back and it is my absolute dream to own an RSV4 RR. Part of the reason is this channel! I hope you find it in your heart to keep that amazing bike! If not I understand

I have a 16 RR with tons of track days. The only time mines been to the dealership was for the brake recall, which was a Brembo issue not an Aprilia problem.

Your track day video on this bike was by far your best video to date! Love that bike.

THANX BRO....IMO the best sport bike riden by a YouTuber !!! I been asking for a new vid on your Aprilia for a while now and thank for coming thru . Your whip is my DREAM BIKE...the styling is off the charts, love the tail....love the graphics u have, the exhaust sounds gives ya a lil chubba..lol. And the power will pucker the ol butthole. Don't sell it...u be sorry later ! That's a bike u keep for life regardless of the miles riden

MP for me I look at differently. My 17RR only has 1600 miles on it but that's OK. Getting on this bike is a special occasion just like driving a Ferrari or Lambo. I would never want to daily drive an exotic car or use it to go to work. The cost is definitely higher on these bikes but we go into it knowing that. Your bike is really special and if you do decide to sell the buyer will be getting a terrific machine! I have enjoyed and learned a lot from your videos and look forward to seeing more, whatever you are on! Stay safe brother.

I have two and its my fourth Aprilia. To date, no major issues. 11 years with my Tuono. Track days, crashed on black ice, still awesome. I ride the poo out of them. Wouldn't buy a R1. Maybe a new S1000RR if I wanted inline-4. But the best bike you can buy if you're not racing is a Tuono V4 ... period.

If a mechanic told me he was charging me more to change a tyre because I rode an Aprilia I would change my mechanic and let him know why I was doing so.

the sound of the V4 is my draw to the RSV4, however, the R1 cross plane crank sounds the same and the inline 4s from Japan have basically been perfected

Dude, no offence, but You sound like a guy on his last day of work, going into retirement, full of regrets! 😂🤘🏻 I have a ‘17 Tuono Factory with same miles, and I can’t wait to ride her hard again this weekend, it’s been a blast from Day 1.

Great honest video. Just got a new to me FZ1. Had to narrow down to what I would actually love, use for the type of riding I would actually do, and make the purchase with reason rather than emotion. Got down to a short list of 3 bikes and then bought the one that was the right deal. Super stoked with what I got... now just waiting for riding season up here in Canada ( street sweepers just started to roll ).

P.s. One thing the Aprilia tech told me BTW, is as soon as you shut the bike off at home, put it on a battery tender. It'll slowly drain the battery with the electronics, and it's very finicky when the voltage drops. He said battery tender all the time and you'll be good. So far he's right. That might help reduce electronic issues, but it also helps extend the battery life. Swapping for lithium might be lighter, but might trip codes or cause issues too in the Aprilia depending on the battery. The PC is looking for a very specific voltage.
