I choose to believe The Bible because it is a reliable collection of historical documents. Written down by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses, they report to a supernatural events that took place in fulfillment to specific prophecy and claim. That their writings are divine rather than human in origin.

Beautiful explanation. And I’ve always said and still believe that NO human being, much less a group of human beings, would ever have been able to pull off writing the Hily Bible we have. No way on earth, without the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit could any book cover every subject imaginable and never contradict itself or another writer, or know what would happen in the future and also what could have happened in the distant past in some instances! They’re all in harmony and you can read cover to cover, over and over again for the majority of your life and see a verse every single time you have never seen! Or understand something you have never understood. Only through spiritual sight given by the Lord is this possible. This is not “just a book”. When the scripture calls it the “living word “, I take it quite literally
