Wednesday 10 am Delta update: Hurricane Watches issued for parts of La. coast, track shifts west

10 AM #Delta Update:

Hurricane Watches have been issued west of Grand Isle. East of Grand Isle to Bay St. Louis is under a Tropical Storm Watch. The New Orleans area and lakes are under a Tropical Storm Watch.

Winds are holding steady at 105 mph. It is still moving quickly at 17 mph to the northwest. It is expected to be in the Gulf this afternoon & will intensify back to a major hurricane Thursday. Landfall is still expected around Fri. afternoon/evening in Louisiana. The track has shifted west with this update and more toward SW Louisiana. However, impacts are still possible in SE Louisiana

In Lousiana we still have Madrid fault line brewing to our north that could leave the majority of Louisiana as ocean and now we are getting hit again by a hurricane (Delta) to our south this weekend!
