Fun fact: Technically, the People's Republic of China (mainland), and the Republic of China (Taiwan) both claim to be the rightful ruler of ONE CHINA. So it's like one country with 2 political parties. When the National Party fled to Taiwan during the Chinese Civil War, they never signed a formal ceasefire with the CPC. So, technically, the civil war was never concluded. So, if China were to reunite Taiwan by force, technically, it's not an invasion, but a continuation of the civil war.
