I wasn't crying until Emile said "I didn't want to kill him."

I was bawling for like 30 mins and then went to find gameplay of other people.

The ending to this game didn't really affect me until Emile said, "War makes men mad" then I lost it

This game will allways have a special place in my heart. This was the first audiovisual content that really made me feel something for the characters, specially the main character. It's so beautiful and sad at the same time. I never cried like with this game and felt the same way. Every character is designed to make you feel his pain and feelings. No game will be at the level of this game. My sincere congrats to the people who made this masterpiece.

This is really such a brilliant soundtrack.

My great uncle, Private Stanley lord of the Essex Yeomanry squadron was killed in the battle of the Somme on July 1st 1916, at the time he was in a barn sheltering from the German artillery bombardment and machine gun fire, he was taking a break with the rest of his group. Unfortunately, his whole squadron including himself was blown to pieces by a shell fired by the Germans. I visited the Thiepval memorial in France where his name is carved into the stone of pier one, face A. It was a great day to honor my relatives whose bravery in the battlefield ensured the safety and security of Britain, France, Russia and all the neighboring countries of Germany. May everyone who has been killed by the hand of war rest in peace. 🙏

I may be the only one. but once I played the game and cried (like everyone else does) I then went to find out whether or not I had any servicemen during the war. I was glad to have found out about my great great grandfather a wonderful man who served with the kings own border regiment. games that do that to you are the greatest games which make you want to know and better yourself in the process

The moment I reached "War makes men mad" in this video, I just could not help but cry. Gosh, this end was so amazingly well paced and well written... It really has an affect on the player. It's incredible to see how they managed to give so much life to characters with this kind of "childish-animation" made game. So serious facts and serious emotions. Yep. Definitely GOTY indeed. A wonderful, painful and true-to-the-core tribute to all those lives wasted in wars. Well done, Ubisoft.
