I show you how to use the wifi and bluetooth features on your Sony a6500. Did you know you could remotely control your Sony a6500 to take pictures and record video? Did you know you could geo tag your photos using your smartphone and the Sony a6500's built in blutooth features. You can add GPS data onto your photos.

This is a good one, thanks. Still on the fence for one. Did you get the camera with a kit lens? What kit do you have on this one?

Like your video above. I have a question re. Sony 6500. I have a macbook pro running macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 - I read a few things saying there are some problems downloading the 4K video files onto a computer with this set-up. Especially with High Sierra. Also I am going back and forth on buying either the Canon 80D and the Sony 6500. Now that you bridged the gap on monitoring yourself with your smart phone with the SOny (thanks for that tip!), and the obvious that Sony has 4K and Canon does not, what is your preference of the two cameras and why? Thank you!

you should add the auto transfer from camera to phone when you shut your camera off. one of my favorite features. Thanks for all your hard work!

Is it possible to use your mobile phone to take photos with the stop motion app of the camera? I have tried it but I think it only allows you to open one application at a time. Maybe I’m missing something? Thank you very much for your tutorials - much appreciated!!

If you want to have a make shift photo booth for events, pairing the camera with a tablet PC via the remote control function can help a lot with framing when taking the photos, especially since editing raw files isn't required for such purposes. Plus you can also use the tablet PC to upload the photos during the lull periods too (or just pop out the camera memory card and upload them separately with another computer). Onsite photo printing may need to be handled separately depending on your set up and purpose.

You are awesome, I've just bought a Sony a6600 I guess it has bluetooth connection as well.
I have also a bluetooth earphones Sony that I honestly find amasing, Awesome sound very portable and battery life that can go from 1 day to 1 week.
How can I connect them via bluetooth so I use both of the bluetooth, both sony and I record directly in the camera as a wify lavalier and transmitter with what I have, all sony, all ok, no needs to waste things or to buy duplicates or triplicates :) thanks Max :)

Am not sure if you have already mentioned it. Can you transfer 4K videos to your phone/mac via wifi/Bluetooth?

Is it possible to attach a smartphone (perhaps not so big ones such as 4 inch iPhone 5/5s) onto the camera's hot shoe in reverse position so that it can be used as a secondary LCD? That would be cool especially under sunny conditions!

Woah I had to stop and look at your Lightroom map, I’m from Porterville, CA and grew up in Visalia! I was recognizing your shots but just in the back of my mind then boom! Thanks for the a6500 vids I’ve been watching as I just got a 6500. I have your 2 settings videos saved, thanks for those! Saved me 3-4 hours at least. Cheers!

Great video! I must say - it baffles me how Sony hasn't enabled the option to use the "Smart Remote Control" app when in M1 or M2 mode. For someone who uses M1 and M2 to remember and utilize certain camera settings (especially related to profile settings), not being able to use the "Smart Remote Control" app in these modes almost renders the entire concept useless. Hopefully a future update will fix this!

Camera guy, do you know if you can set the Sony A6500 to automatically transfer images using the bluetooth function as soon as I take pictures?

Does it use extra battery when the GPS is on? Do you usually leave it on all the time?

Good presentation. I know I can use my mobile to turn sony came on/off (through a feature in playMemories), but don't know how can I do that with sony live remote. Can you tell sth about this?

Thanks. Helped me set up remote triggering. Sony help list was pretty opaque and I was struggling to work out how to execute. Their help was deficient emphasising image transfer rather than what I wanted.
