I don't know who came up with the idea, Hannah, or the musical director, but notice at 1:39 that sequence and run at the end seems like it's taken directly from Elvis Presley's version of *Hurt*, where he opens the song with "I'm... so... hurt..." I think Elvis's version was patterned after the version by Timi Yuro, but the original recording was by the great Roy Hamilton.
