The most popular theory about what happened to Freddy in the ruin dlc is that it's actually our Freddy from the base game and the ending where we escape with Vanessa and Freddy's head is canon which is why he had no head. His stomach is like that because the robots in the Vanny ending destroyed him and in the comic his stomach is damaged in the exact same way. Now many people think this isn't true because of the "prototype" text that is on the bottom of Freddy's foot and this isn't in the base game. But it was most likely coated with an extra layer of paint. This is why Freddy glitched in the beginning of the base game. Because he was just a prototype he wasn't intended to be on stage forever. And in the ending where we escape with Freddy he is replaced with Mr Hippo. He was intended to be replaced with Mr Hippo anyways because he glitched. And the reason why Freddy tries to kill us in the ruin dlc is because he has no senses. He can't see or hear and he has some kind of motion sensors. He has no idea that we're a kid and that's why he is trying to kill us
