This has always been a very sad song, and it's hard for me to see someone else singing this, because it was so unlike anything Kenny had ever sang at the time it came out, but Gavin does really good here! This is my second favorite Kenny song, behind "There Goes My Life"; I'm surprised this performance isn't played on No Shoes Radio!

I think this song was not written by Kenny but his management team were variously pitched it eleven different times actually; he finally record it, and his recording became such a hit that the songwriter's career sort of took off. I thi k it was MacAnally or somthing like this who wrote the song.
