The proper pattern for a traffic light is green to yellow to red and then straight back to green. They don’t go from red to yellow on the way to green. Would be interesting to see the code for that pattern!

it works(as long as it is blinking) but you are bypassing the resisters that way.. if your didoes stay light they will burn out. You need to start the resisters in a new track.

How can we upscale this to make it so there are 8 leds per light on a 4 sided traffic light? (96 leds using an arduino Uno)?

Question for you I am using a traffic light set up but also wanting to add timer for caution lights come on at a certain time.
Let's say traffic light works normal 5am. - 12am. And the lights go on cause at 12:05 until 5am. 5:05 back to working can I accomplish this ?
