Cutting Flagstone with the Ultimately Efficient Solution: Gravity + Fulcrum

We had many large flag stones to cut in half and I watched many videos of people using diamond saws and chisels, but we came up with this superior method which is much more efficient. It works really well for breaking large stones in half to make them more manageable. Not recommended for precision cuts. However, with a heavy scribe on the back side you could put the break exactly where you want it, but precision is not too critical if you just want break stones in half like we did. We used the match set in pairs laying out the patio.
