I wanted to try to make a 3D resin painting with 100 layers using UV resin to see how deep of a 3D effect we could achieve!

Martina is the artist equivalent to a mad scientist! Amazingly good work!

Incredible work.
And please don't hate the imperfections in your creations.
They show us _not only that you are still human and not taken over by an AI through your new fully robotic highly engineered pinky finger, _ but also the struggles you had along the ways.
It proves that you decide every day to make something besides not being perfect in it. That you do it not only because you want to create something, but also because you want get better at it...
It inspired me to gi e my ideas a shot instead of regarding them as unachievable.

UV resin had a tendency to “shrink” when curing! That’s why you got those weird edges! Also, if you ever decide to use resin again for anything, use a torch/lighter instead of a heat gun for popping bubbles! It’s way more effective and it doesn’t move around the resin like a heat gun does! :) it looks amazing!

It would be really cool to see you do this again with 5, 10, 25, and 50 layers to see how the effect changes

I love how the resin kinda blurs the back layers, making a really cool depth of field effect.

Martina: I will never do 100 layers again.
Also Martina two years later: 500 layers of resin!

Damn, you and Hansi have really built up a scary diverse skill set over the years.
Good work.

“I’m going to begin with something easy” proceeds to “sketch” a well detailed phoenix. Great work as always Martina 🤘

I just wanna say, while you could get as good of a result with less layers, this is nerdforge everything is overkill 😂
thats what we've come to expect and I love it!

Its really sweet how she is using that finger she made to replace her lost finger 3 months ago

There must be some magic that was unleashed in her little little finger. She is amazing at absolutely everything.

Can we just appreciate how perfect her Eyeliner is?🥹

I congratulate you on completing this epic art piece, I learned a lot from watching it. However the depth / 3D effect isn’t really showing up on camera, it might be better in person. I think darkening the fire and wings that are farther away could really help. Also if you ever wanted to try a scaled down version of this I’ve seen videos were people paint koi fish and dragons in small bowls that look amazing.

Such a cool project!
I think it might be interesting to see you do a layered glass painting, mostly because it would
a) enable you to go back and fix a layer if something is wonky
b) would get rid of the limitations of resin (the curing time, the bubbles, etc.)

Absolutely ridiculous. Love everything about this channel. You two are both great characters, the projects are always out of this world, it's just all good.

Also shoutouts to Hansi for that evil laugh after being ultra helpful, and nice shirt at the start of the vid Martina

The reason why the sides look like that and why it pops out so easily is that when curing, UV coatings shrink due to the internal stress caused by the radical polymerization of the acrylate groups present in the resin. Love the end result!

Älskar att det finns kanaler som din där fokus är på vad man gör och kreativitet, inte hur man ser ut eller något ytligt hjärndött nonsens.

beautiful as always Martina... truely a work of art!
I wonder how it would look with multiple strips of red LEDs .... darker in the back & lighter shades toward the front?

looking forward to your next masterpiece!
