HOW TO RANDOMLY SELECT A WINNER FOR A PRIZE GIVEAWAY // See two different ways on how to make a random selection from a list in Excel. This is a great way to select a prize winner for a giveaway or, or select an employee of the month, or randomly select volunteers from a list. You can do this by using the RANDBETWEEN function in excel as a random number generator. You can also use the INDEX function with RANDBETWEEN to return an actual name from the list.

Hi Sharon, I have a more complicated situation. Every week for a year, I want to select 250 winners at random. The data base will start out with about 2000 enteries. However, every day the data base will increase potentially up to 1, 000, 000. Can excel acomodate a situation like this.
