Awesome cuv and Honda vehicles were never about straight line drag racing not even nsx or S2000, or type R rather for racing tracks or twisted roads

My brain tells me it's over 12 seconds, but I didn't use a stopwatch lol

Like the CVT's response to the Honda City, which seemed very heavy

Sounds like the cvt is holding the engine back.

I recently went from driving a '19 Civic Si on the daily to a '24 HR-V. Yes, it's absolutely slow as crap! That said, after having driven it daily for the last several months, you kind of get used to it. The CVT really just holds it back off the line, so you have to account for that. Overall, it's not that bad. The CVT does a much better job of accelerating for passing than an automatic would. The engine breaking is smoother and less noticeable than a car that would have to downshift. My only issues has been gas mileage, but I've been able to adjust my driving style a bit to squeeze an average of about 35 MPG out of it on the highway, which is really impressive for a non-hybrid SUV.

This is probably the non-turbo model. That first 0-60km/h could be slower than a Prius

Is this in Japan or Europe? 0-100kph in 15 seconds has to be a 1 liter engine.

That's just sad. In my country we get the 1.5 turbo with 170hp 😂

If it had a normal auto I wouldn’t care about it being so slow

The make them slow because the people that buy them need fuel economy and not acceleration. That also alows them to be perfect first cars

Honda has really lost it's way.. Such an uninspired effort.. Haven't seen such lazy exterior design in a long time.. For a parts bin car, they could have done anything and it would have been better than this.
