June 9, 2013 storm timelapse

This is a one-hour time lapse of the severe thunderstorm that slowly moved over Hanover and Henrico Counties. Both the rain and wind were the worst I've ever seen in nearly six years of living in our Atlee home.

This is a great video.
We sat this storm out at Atlee Music and it was pretty wild.
The amount of precipitation was unbelievable.

It is rare for storms around here to get that amazing of a mesocyclone and be able to see because of all the trees.

It's a GoPro Hero2 with a suction mount on a window. Must work in high winds!
