Is it suitable to separate the plastic from the aluminum?

how did you attach the magnets to the spinning drum?

Ive been searching youtube for about 3 months looking for a simple video on how Eddy Current works... Thank you!

Does eddy current separate copper and brass too? or just aluminum?

Is it have to be a wooden shaft?
If it yes can u pls explain why?
TQ

Excellent work!

I have a question, can it work with small bronze pieces?

Hello, your demonstration of an eddy current separator is the best of any home built one I have seen. I would like to build one approx. 10 inches wide by 6 inches in diameter. I haven’t quite figured out how to run a conveyor belt at a much slower speed than the magnetic drum would be spinning. Any suggestions, tips, ideas would be welcome.

Very nicely done. Have you ever ran  a bunch of sand across it? I wonder what it would yield?

what is the speed of motor ?, and what is distance between magnets and up side (where is object to separate) the distance between magnets and aluminium - I need it for calculating magnetic force...

i always wondered how they would separate non ferrous metals from plastic and paper, very interesting!

I read that California sand from Home Depot has a small amount of gold. Something like this makes it worthwhile to extract.
