In the second test match between India and Australia at Sydney (in 2008), the pair of Steve Bucknor and Mark Benson got eight decisions wrong between them. This is by far the biggest umpiring blunder in recent times.

The no ball one is fine. Ok, in that era, I think no balls were consistently missed. So that is not as egregious a mistake. But the three Symonds ones, the Ponting ones, and the Dravid one were absolutely ridiculous.

Had drs been in picture india would have won that series easily. And that indian team was by far the best indian test team ever played they had experience batters playing for 15 years and that bowling unit was electric irfan pathan, rp singh, ishant sharma, anil kumble, harbhajan singh, still it turned out to be the greatest tour, had not been the umpiring, it could have been india's best tours down under ever as india also won the commonwealth odi series on the same tour.
