YESS, I’m from the Uk, but I interned in Connecticut last summer and my weekly shopping (which was all just snacks and fruit because on shift meals were a thing thankfully) was $45-50! Crazy. I didn’t even buy that much, and there were no pavements because Americans drive EVERYWHERE, even just 10 mins down the road. I would have to walk 40 mins to the supermarket and 40 mins back because it was on a main road, and the cops stopped me and gave me a ride ahaha
