North Carolina vs. Duke Full Game Replay | ACC Men’s Basketball (2021-22)

North Carolina spoiled Coach K’s final game at Cameron Indoor, defeating the Duke Blue Devils, 94-81. UNC’s starters barely left the court in the win, and four of them scored over 20 points. Armando Bacot scored 23 and grabbed 7 rebounds, Caleb Love scored 22 and had 5 rebounds and 5 assists, R.J. Davis scored 21 with 4 rebounds and 5 assists and Brady Manek scored 20 with 11 rebounds. Duke was led by Paolo Banchero who scored 23 points and had 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Mark Williams had a 16 point | 13 rebound double-double for the Blue Devils.

Coach K's first loss at Duke was to UNC in 12/5/80. His last home loss was to UNC on 3/5/22, and his last loss ever was to UNC on 4/2/22.

It seems the Duke planners failed to factor in the very real possibilty of losing. This became a monumental defeat . Kind of like seeing the Duke program getting slam dunked in front of a super sized audience that included famous alumni, and distinguished guests, etc .

After Duke beat UNC by 20 points in the first game, I am sure al the Duke fans was believing that it would happen again. But it didn’t happen.

i didn't watch this live, but it felt like the media was trying to spin this as just a Duke let down, but after watching this replay (the Night before the Final Four game), I realized that UNC just put them paws on them. I knew they had a strong chance to do it again in the national semi-final. The fact taht both teams were playing at such a high level before the 3match made it even bigger, plus this is the most star power that both teams had in a really long time.

Question to UNC fans. If Duke was in the finals with a team from (obviously) another state, and UNC was out altogether, would you root for Duke anyway to win because of the North Carolina factor, or does the loyalty run so deep, that you'd still pray for the Blue Devils to loose?
