Three astrophysicists check into a hotel. They're assigned rooms on the 5th, 6th, and 7th floors.
Later that night, a fire breaks out on the 5th floor. The astrophysicist in room 501 wakes up, smells the smoke, and sees the flames. He calmly fills a trash can with water, extinguishes the fire, and goes back to sleep.
On the 6th floor, the second astrophysicist wakes up to the sound of the fire alarm. He opens his door, sees smoke in the hallway, and locates the nearest fire extinguisher. He quickly puts out the fire and returns to his room.
On the 7th floor, the third astrophysicist is awakened by the commotion. He steps out into the hallway, sees the smoke, and hears the alarm. He shrugs, says, "Hmm, an interesting phenomenon, " and goes back to bed.
