If you're a person who would spend over 200 hours in either game and love planes / tanks, war thunder is the better game. Not just gameplay wise, the developers work extremely hard on always improving and making the game amazing. If you don't have that much time and don't really have a passion in aviation, either game is fine. I can understand since war thunder is a little hard to get into

I will admit that WoWP is good though it will not be on the same height as World of warships and world of tanks. WoWP is for pure arcade players and WT is for payers who prefer a mix between arcade and Realism.
Though when it comes to grinding both suffer here as in War thunder you have to unlock all of the performance and survivability (which can be bain) parts to unlock the planes full potential (which in my opinion gives a sense of accomplishment).
And WoWP grinding it oftenly take Days as in WT it feels sightly less so
(as I unlocked my MkXi spitfire plying nonstop from 10:00am 16:00 pm)
