Ram Rampage coming to North America?

The Ram Rampage is a new compact pickup truck that was unveiled fro the Brazilian market. But there's a pretty good chance this little machine could find its way into the North American market, as well. It would align as a great competitor to the Ford Maverick.

270hp, 10"ground clearance, and 25mpg ⛽ is gonna check off alot of boxes for compact truck buyers The Maverick Tremor goes for $32k, so if Stellantis can bring it to US shores around that price they won't be able to build them fast enough.

I was really digging the Maverick and really wanted to like it, but with yearly price increases, supply issues, and the amazing look that Toyota and Ram will likely have has me thinking I’d probably be better off waiting.

I would love it if the if they used a variation of the hybrid setup that is in the new dodge hornet. They can't build enough Mavericks. This would pick up the slack nicely and arguably be a better and funner option

Right now I’m in the market for a mid sized truck, I refuse to have a $900 car payment for an entry trim level full sized truck.

The rampage 2.0 Turbo is doing 0-62mph in 6, 6s on instrumented tests in Brazil. On this video here go to the 12:52 mark -> v=meF1SttkZco

Slap Jeep’s 4xe system into this and keep the I4 set up but with the new 8-speed they use now (that’s sourced from Hyundai. It would be a similar set up to the refreshed Compass but tuned to have more power) for reliability purposes and this truck would be a reallly strong option if they can keep production high

I read that the price will be near $50, 000 usd which means it will not be a competitor to the small pick ups by Ford, Mazda, and Toyota

Manual transmission option would be nice

Was hoping for a RWD based platform so they wouldn't have to use that damn awful ZF 9-Speed, but if this is a Maverick competitor, then that makes sense. Maybe with way more power the 9-Speed won't be so bad. In the Compass Trailhawk I rented a couple years ago, that thing was a deathtrap with how often it gets tripped up when you're trying to give it some power.

The major draw of the maverick for nearly 70% of all orders is a hybrid engine. The winning ticket to beating the maverick and one that would make this owner switch is a awd or 4x4 hybrid power train.

My idea of small trucks was 19k truck (original thought to be maverick price), then wait few years and get it used for 10k as a second vehicle. This will never happen soon. These trucks will end up $50k. Uhaul is going to be for me when I need a truck.

Ram dealers will mark these up to the moon and they will fail and Stellantis will say people didn't want another small truck. I remember the Dodge D-50 they looked good and were affordable Mini trucks.

I'd love to be able to buy a good looking, 2 door EV pickup truck made in America. A solar bed cover would be a nice bonus.

So dodge just skips bringing back the midsized truck to compete with the colorado and ranger? Instead just focuses on the smaller trucks like the Maverick? Anything smaller than a midsized truck just can't do truck stuff anymore. It's a grocery getter with no cargo roof.

Would rather see them squeeze in the 3.6 v6 and a 6 speed manual
