He finally has done something that an actual welder would do. However, he still messed up. Why would you go two different directions? You had this one. Then you go and do that. Why did you do that? You had this in the bag, then you messed it up by doing that.

This is all wrong. He didn't waste 5 minutes making unnecessary layout lines and he didn't burn through ten cutting discs making a dozen cuts for a simple but weld.
Of course, who knows what angle he welded this to?
