Onawa Blue Lake KOA Campground Review // Onawa, IA [EP 67]

Is this heaven? No, it’s Iowa! Check out this little oasis along I-29 in between Sioux City, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska. The campground is nestled underneath a canopy of enormous trees and sits beside stunning Blue Lake. We thought we were there just for an overnight stop on the way to our final destination, and wound up loving all that this KOA had to offer. We will be back! Watch the video to find out why.

As a "native" Iowan (NE Iowa; now in Council Bluffs, IA), may I suggest the correct pronunciation is "Ahn-a-wa"; not "Oh-na-wa". So pleased you're seeing the "real" Iowa and not just the "fly-over" Iowa. Nice review; thanks for sharing!

Very nice! Love that lake! Do you guys do a lot of KOAs? I have seen a lot of your videos but just can't remember.... 😜 🤪 If so, are they all so tightly packed? Other than that, it is very nice! 😀

This is a very old video. Management is rude, roads are terrible. full of water when it rains

This is not a realistic review. Over the top exaggerations scream “paid for” by the KOA. Given this koa owner has some of the worst reviews of ALL koa campgrounds in the country, it really is misleading to unsuspecting campers. You guys should be more transparent and honest.
