You need to make one of these sessions of yours on money, on why people need money. You must talk about how some really pious people say that if you've got Imam Hussein, you don't need money, everything will just happen for free, at the drop of a hat. You gotta talk about how some religious know-it-alls like to say that as long as you've got religion, you don't need money. Because the grocer, the landlord, the gas station guy, my nephew's college administration, and pretty much every other person I'm gonna need something from is gonna give it to me for free as long as I tell him I'm a devout Muslim, with a big ol' beard, praying all the wajibaat in jamaa'. Since you're in such a helpful and mentoring mood, do shed some light on these people and how to negotiate existing in their presence.
