Adjusting the rangefinder horizontal alignment is relatively simple for Leica M-mount 35mm camera bodies. Since getting my used Leica M-P 240, I noticed over time I was sometimes missing the focus, particularly when shooting wide open, f:1.4 - f:2.0 on my 50mm and 90mm Leica lenses.
In the full video, I demonstrate the process to fix the mis-aligned rangefinder. All that is needed is a 2mm Allen key (hexagonal wrench), a clean work area and a steady hand. Older Leica's have a slotted bolt head, so a flat head screw driver is needed.
