We're developing a game. Our aim is to build levels this complex at the best quality possible. My thinking is that by the time We have our maps created (we're doing 3 as demos) GPU's will have moved on in terms of performance.

Pretraining was done in DLSS 1 era) DLSS 3 uses flowmaps for interframe generation, pure maths, but culculated on "AI" cores on GPU

So 4090 is just OK for 60fps 4K in incoming UE 5.2 games which basically look not much better than what we play rn. Got it :)

I remember thinking it would be awesome to eventually have real time motion vectors, and motion compensated filtering for film to screen rates, 24fps to 60fps, for video material (using a lossless intermediary file as the pretraining material). This is like two levels of SciFi beyond RIFE. It still has EA Sports game levels of jank in motion, but the fact that it works at all is impressive.

Just want to ask, how unreal engine utilize the CPU? I recently bought i9 13900k because I am rendering stuff in vray CPU but I'm curious where else it is handy to have such a powerful CPU?

How's the input latency? I heard that it doesn't feel responsive anymore if you use frame generation for games that run =<30 FPS base.

DLSS 3 is a game changer and future for UE5 games. Doubles your framerate for free and just works good. Unfortunately DLSS 3 is limited to RTX 4000 series only. DLSS Performance at 4k looks better, than TAA + native 4k. This is also very good thing. Upscaling image from 1080p to 4k, and you still have 4k quality with 1080p performance.

Isn't the GTX4070 the lowest model in the lineup that includes the TPUs (Tensor Processing Units) needed for DLSS 3? Therefore, the GTX4060 you mentioned would not actually provide any of those hardware accelerated AI (i.e. TPU) dependent advantages.

Hey just downloaded it, running on AMD 5950X and 4090, running at 4k on 48inch LG C2, and I am getting hooked on this little demo! Thanks for all you are doing on UE, for an enthusiast who missed his calling to build games I love the content! As a Flight Simulator fan DLSS and frame generation has been a huge deal, delivering 100fps at 4K at ultra settings. It does have to be said that it does add a fairly significant input lag (only every other frame is a "true" frame), so for more competitive online players DLSS may not be an attractive proposition.
