Angus Young about KISS : Gene Simmons was very good to us when we came to America. He had gotten us a lot of shows with KISS. Today I am still grateful that he had done this. I remember when I came and saw us live the first time we played in Los Angeles at the Whiskey. He went to the backstage, approached us and said: Hey! I’ve been glued to the wall with your music.

Kiss has a good rep from the boys in Rush.. they were treated very well by Kiss and learned how to run a proper tour.

I’m a Kiss fan but there was a time when they did there best to tie into the Bon Jovi model. AC/DC never wavered. Even Priest with Turbo went a little commercial. ACDC is alone in never changing to conform to a “popular” formula

Say what you want about Kiss, but these guys opened the doors for almost every other successful rock band to come out of the 70s and 80s...

They will always have my respect for ushering in the next generation and being allies of music!

The best band I ever saw open for Kiss was Cheap Trick. The best opening band of any concert that I saw was Rush opening for Foghat. Thin Lizzy was really good opener for Queen as well as Rick Derringer opening for Aerosmith.

I saw Bob Seger and Kansas open for KISS in 1976. Quite a show.

They're no Rush, or ACDC, but Night Ranger opened for Kiss on their first tour, and they held their own in front of KISS fans. They energized Norfolk, and were still out in the crowd, greeting & thanking the crowd when KISS took the stage.

Saw ACDC with Bon 3x one summer way back in 1979. That's when they were openers and would absolutely pulverize the headliners.

The Scorpions (Virgin Killer album) opened for them in 1976 in Europe. Kiss's Destroyer tour.

I've been a fan of kiss since the late 70's and proud of Never met any of the them personally so my heart wouldn't break like in the past after having met other band's members.
