lol. My grandma had toes like this and dementia. My mom found a nurse to come trim her nails. She was associated with a podiatry clinic that had a lot of geriatric and diabetics patients. It was actually brilliant because she was making house calls she was able to see the patients regularly in their homes where they were much calmer and spot and even treat certain conditions before they got terrible.

I used to work at an assisted living/Alzheimer's wing, in the salon there. You would not even BELIEVE how many poor seniors that lived there had feet/nails like this.

I was the only one that would do pedis; the regular aides that worked there flatly refused to cut anyone's nails, and most of the folks had to make an appointment to have it done at the podiatrist's -- which meant they might go MONTHS in-between.

My favourite clients were my gentlemen, though. 99% of these lads had never had anyone besides their own selves or their Dr cut their toenails, much less have a full pedi with soak and massage. I had SO many converts, lol -- they'd had no idea how enjoyable a pedi can be!

Honestly the men were mostly the ones that would book in advance and stay on a consistent schedule -- they absolutely loved it! Even once, I had a couple of gents get in a fight and brandish their canes at each other because one tried to steal the other's appointment. 😂

I used to work at a shoe store that carried supportive shoes. This is not far off reality. The bunions are a nice touch.

In this situation, you might mention to her granddaughter that a foot fixer bubble massage spa tub with an alpha hydroxy scrub and soak product and a long handled bath brush would be a nice gift for grandma.
