I feel like Axel is actually supposed to be a good guy and is just trained under a very strict dojo similar to Cobra Kai when Kreese and Terry Silver owned the dojo. My theory is that Zara and Axel will see Miyagi Do as friends and not as enemies towards the end of Part 2 and just leading us to more Zara and Axel character development in Part 3 potentially.
