What is took for Atticus Ross & Trent Reznor to create a new score for David Fincher and Pixar

I think i'm still pinching myself that we were able to get time with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross to talk about their amazing work across a fantastic collection of films. It all started for them in the world of score with David Fincher back in 2010 on The Social Network. With his latest film, Mank, he had a very specific ask for Trent & Atticus to score his period love letter to Hollywood. The two also jumped at the chance to work with Pete Docter on his latest breathtaking animated film, Soul. Once again this was a very specific ask, not only for score to accompany the stunning visuals but also to compliment the jazz work of Jon Batiste, that would fulfill the musical world of the main character Joe.
