Bless all the vet techs and nurses in the world, we're doomed without them.

"Go do Doctor things" is my favorite saying in the hospital.

Do you think Tom would appreciate a list of common medications cheat sheet? The "can be emergency vet but can't operate copier" bit is so real tho

Yes, "Go do doctor things" is a typical saying for a couple of our vets. What would they do without us Vet Techs🤣🤣 🎉🎉 "Happy Vet Tech Week" 🎉🎉 to all the other Veterinary Technicians out there, because who else would draw the blood, take on wild vicious cats, so the doctor doesn't get bit or scratched.

Love this. I had a vet yesterday that told the tech that she didn't know how to do the microchip implant, "you just do it".

One vet I worked for was at that age where there really isn’t any one pair of glasses that really works across all focal lengths. So he could never find the “right pair” of glasses. He had 4 and they all were in the same frames. We constantly had the “has anyone seen my glasses” thing going on. “Well you are wearing a pair.” “No the pair that’s good for the computer.” “Which one’s that again?” Invariably he’d get gowned and gloved for surgery and realize he had the wrong pair of glasses on and couldn’t see anything especially not with surgical loups on. Also invariably the pair he needed had a nose print, thumbprint, questionable splatter on it when he needed it. We finally color coded them all with autoclave/instrument tape so we could tell them apart at a glance and had more bulk boxes of lens wipes than an optical shop stashed EVERYWHERE. That at least shortened the amount of time it took the circulating tech to find the right pair, clean the lenses, and help him swap glasses without needing to rescrub. Knowing to look for the “green” ones for surgery, the “blue” ones for computer, and the red or black ones depending on what he was feeling for everything else helped enormously.

ALL of medicine!! Brilliantly hilarious but also somewhat accurate in human med, too. I came up on "emergency medicine is a team sport" but learned that all of it is.

If I had been appreciated instead of abused as a vet tech for ten years, I might still be one. Thanks Doc ♥️

Very reminiscent of a new 2nd lieutenant and his platoon sergeant. They get there eventually :).

So basically hospitals without nurses and clinics without MA's. 😁

I've been saying, "Go do doctor stuff!" since Reagan's first term. Now I'm retired and I get to just about it.😅😅😅😅😅

Me wondering why Tom looks like he's drawing a jugular draw on a small animal with a 18g (Oversight on a doctor making these videos 😂)

Ah. One of the many, many, many reasons I am so glad I work at a day practice and not an emergency clinic.
