*Bloody Winter* . A fan made story about the end times. And the perspective of a Kislevite soldiers Journal.

And also, I’ll keep updating this so on the first few days it will be an incomplete story.

Entry I: Deltia. Deltia is the one person I know that survived the siege. She killed at least three of those “Chosen”. Besides her. Everyone else was taken prisoner or killed. Or twisted into those chaos spawn… Besides that. We are living in a cave. For now at least. Doriin says we’re in no place to fight back. Makes sense as the siege was only four minutes long until we were routed. I have to keep my sword at my side. As I don’t know what the other Soldiery is planning on. Either mutiny or something even worse.

Entry II: Some soldiers ran. I don’t really blame them, but Deltia wants to do the same. Yet again. I don’t really blame her. Only that Doriin wants to get to the Cult of Ursun. Like if they would help us. And another thing. We really don’t know what’s going on outside. If the chaosmen are being crushed or crushing down to Sylvania. Or even Istalia…

Entry III: we were ambushed… Dark Elves. Or Drucii they called themselves when they started to shout when they attacked. Deltia was wounded and a few soldiers were killed. Bad thing is we only killed five of the ten. That means five can come out of no where and slit our throats… Second Entry on III. Doriin ordered all of us to carry only what we need. Starting to think of running away from this myself…

Entry IV: We’re still on the run. We had a few skirmishes with Dark Elves and Chaosmen, bad thing is one of our best fighters Boris got cut open from one of those green ones with pus and filth on, and in it. Think I saw some fungi growing on it. But besides that, Boris was infected with some flu. None of us know what to do. If we throw him to the dogs we loss our best fighter, but on the other hand we can keep him at sword bay. Just to see if this is a coincidence or he caught something…

Entry V: After a while of thinking Doriin had enough and said “to hell with it, he goes into the cage until he turns or this flu blows over”. Don’t even know if this is a good idea or the worse idea… Yet again we had some skirmishes with dark elves and chaosmen until some High Elf came along and offered to be a free swordarm. Of course Doriin accepted this offer and I’m not gonna lie, he’s better than Boris. He called himself a “Swordmaster of Hoeth”. Whatever that means… At this point we need as many swords shields spears, axes hammers maces as we can get.

Entry VI: We finally found a good place to lay low for a while. Closer to The Cult of Ursun but still far away. Can finally rest my feet. But I and Deltia should keep one eye on Boris and the other on everything else. Don’t know when one of the lower rank soldiers will go insane and try to kill us for one of those gods. But while we were hiking up the hill we rest at me and that elf saw this thing. It looked like it had horns and stood seven to six feet tall. Also had hoofs? The thing looked strange nothing the less but we both didn’t knew what it was. Maybe one of those minotaurs the myths and legends speak of? From what is going on I have no idea…

Entry VII: Me and Deltia and that elf were scouting out the rest of the hill until a few of those things attacked us. They tried to grab Deltia and run but that elf chopped it’s arm off. But the other rammed me into the tree behind me, hurt my back on the first ram and the other made me fall on my arm. Then it started to try to bite my neck, like one of those vampires. Never been so close to something I needed to kill. Thankfully at that moment Deltia got away from the other two and Swung her mace at its head. Gave me a chance to pull my dagger out and stab it in the neck. Which I did. Thing let out a roar as loud as a bear. Somewhat startled me a bit. The other two started to run away. Did I kill the leader? Or just scared them away? Who knows…

Entry VIII: Another skirmish. This time it was more of those things and some chaosmen. We barely killed them off, well after that Boris said “I’m feeling a lot better, can you let me out” we couldn’t see the most of him because we gave him a blanket and a block of hay as a pillow. Stupidly Doriin opened the gate and he leaped out the cage and with him throwing the blanket on Doriin . He was beyond sickly. He was putrid and vile. With blight and pus and even fungi all over him. He lied to us. And even worse the soldiers really let it all out on him. Hell, he couldn’t even stand up straight because he was so bloated. But when they started to gash and stab him he blew up… half of the soldiers were covered in the mucus and pus… Thus we had to exile some, 27 solders is all that’s left… had to throw away 33…

Entry IX: We moved again, and while we were moving we found a scouting party. Last one left of The Ice Court. They didn’t join us, but they did share some supplies with us. Doriin and I spoken to their leader. Nice fellow. He said they were gonna slay as many of those chaosmen as they could before they go down in history. Don’t really blame them because half of their soldiery had some family killed. Besides that we get closer to The Cult of Ursun every march we take. Almost forgot about that there were some dwarves that we met too. Didn’t seem friendly so we only spoken to them for a few minutes, don’t seem like I’d like them either. With their grudges and shite…

Entry X: Deltia and Doriin fought. Almost got violent. Me and the elf had to hold them both back because they were about to kill each other. We really have to focus on getting to The Cult of Ursun. Besides that we settled down a bit. In some cave of course. Though I fear the beast are festering and breeding while the chaosmen are bolstering their rosters. The reason I think of this is because we haven’t fought them in a while. And another thing. What if the cult doesn’t accept us? What if they think we are heretics because we don’t make religion a vital part of our empire? Do we just assume they will take us on as extra soldiers? And what will we do if they do send us on our way? Get down to the empire if it is a thing? Or hell. Maybe we will just trot our way down to Grand Cathay or maybe Nippon. Perhaps Lustria? What am I writing…
