About the statement saying that French composers Morgan & Rossi's El Bimbo is a Ahmad Zahir's original music plagiarism:
(1) "There is very little, if any, credible evidence that Ahmad Zahir, and not Claude Morgan, wrote El Bimbo. I believe the confusion stems from the fact that Zahir's cover of El Bimbo called Tanha Shodam Tanha was included in his album called Lylee and 2)some Web sites list date Lylee with a 1971 release date. That is almost certainly a typo or a poorly transcribed text from a printed album sleeve or another original sources: 1971 vs 1977. " (Wikipedia)
(2) Some argue that "El Bimbo style is not kind of French music" --->>> it is absolutely obvious these people don't have a clue about what they're talking about. French composers are able to compose in any style of western music, any... which in turn is not the case of oriental composers.
(3) By the way, El Bimbo is a disco-like bossanova, which is a fusion of samba and cool jazz. It's important to remember that jazz itself has roots in Black African musical traditions mixed to elements of European music, including French musical elements. This influence wouldn't be directly tied to cool jazz, but it highlights the complex web of influences that shaped jazz as a whole. French music, not Afghan one !
