👉 Learn all about solving and graphing compound inequalities. An inequality is a statement in which one value is not equal to the other value. A compound inequality is a type of inequality comprising of more than one inequalities.

To solve a compound inequality, we use inverse operations (addition/subtraction) to combine like terms and then, we also use inverse operations (multiplication/division) to isolate the variable. (recall that multiplication/division with a negative number changes the orientation of the inequality sign).

After obtaining the solution to the compound inequality, we then graph the solution on a number line accordingly. Note the use of "and" and "or" while solving/graphing compound inequalities.
