I know a lot of people will say that you never owe your employer any guilt or emotional attachment (and I don’t necessarily think those people are wrong) but I was glad to hear you mention it. I’m also really attached to my job and even taking the first steps towards leaving it have been feeling impossible. Glad you’re big move worked out for you, and I hope mine (eventually) is too 😊

I really appreciate this video. Too seldom are the emotional downsides of moving mentioned. For me it's hard sometimes as an American student here and I'm privileged enough to afford flying back to visit a few times a year

I am here in Germany for Study Abroad, already extended by 1 year and now trying to find work. I dont want to return to the US, its so much better here for ME, and i love the life I can live here that is not possible in the US.

Making the move from the USA to Europe for some may appear to a be a perceived step backwards when it is in fact a huge leap in terms of quality of life and peace of mind. Germany is definitely doing much better compared to other European nations.
