It's so cool that this film made us still want to root for this monster up to this point even though we saw all she did. The movie's theme of Pearl struggling to take any bit of control she had in her life, with this dream being her only dangling thread of hope really humanizes her.

Bit more encouragement and education and she would have gone a long way and not that frustrated. Poor Pearl.... It's hard to not feel bad when seeing her...
