Engin projects a genuine image of being a very humble person with compassion and empathy. He also emanates spirituality. My 80 year old husband and myself 65 year old grandmother from Canada, though not native speakers of Turkish, felt it so strongly from watching him in the Kara Para Ask series in Netflix. We could also feel his connection with the cast, especially "Hussein" and "Arda" and it was like a real family.  

Though an emeritus academic professor, my caucasian husband and I watched the Kara Para Ask(Black, Money, Love) series 5 times and may go back to it as it was just a Masterpiece for us. We never get tired of it as we learn so much each time we watched it. Engin does not use the media to promote himself though he is very popular internationally. That is an accolade to him. He is private, respectful to elders and does not use his fame to his advantage. He likes to go diving to be around dolphins and sea creatures. These actions show his respect for living things, humanity and ecology. That is what we need in human beings today. Engin's parents have done a great job. I have to admit that we have not seen an actor like him who is multi talented and is a genuine human being.
